Stuck in a Rut

Man do you ever just find yourself un-inspired?? I think that is where I am at!! I have cast a few things on and then just tore them off because I am just not into it! So I have done some quick mindless dish cloths and towels for instant gratification. And also I like to keep my hands busy. I think I just need to find something I am excited about.......hmmmmmmmm any ideas?? At least the sun is a shining and it is beautiful out. That at least puts a smile on my face.

  1. I was feeling the same way, and then I cast on for another Baby Surprise Jacket. It's just garter stitch, but there are increase or decreases every row, so you still need to pay attention. I'm loving it right now!

    Hope you find some inspiration!

  2. I have so many projects on the needles right now that I have the opposite problem. Usually my knitting doldrums are cured by a quick perusal of patterns on Ravelry...hmmm...I really like to knit shawals...wonder if I can find a cool pattern...oh, there's one right there.. Or a trip to a yarn shop. Always lots of inspiration there. :-)

I was thinking about hitting up Temptations today to see what strikes me!

  4. So are you out of your rut now? I need to get out of mine, maybe with a mobius shrug? Will have to hit the knit stitch books!

  6. Hope your inspiration will come back soon. I guess we all loose our kniting mojo at some time. I always cast on for a pair of plain socks when I don't feel like knitting anything ;)

    Have a great weekend!

  7. I get that way sometimes, where nothing feels quite right to knit (although I have at least 10 projects on the needles). That's when I begin scouring Ravelry and my friends projects and before I know it, my mojo is back and I'm happily knitting away on a project.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Always nice to hear from other knitting folks out there.
