  1. Hi there! I remember the first post was so scary- I was almost afraid to hit the "post" button! It gets to be so much fun, you wonder why you were ever scared in the first place!

I decided to start my own blog when I discovered a blog written by a local lady. I thought to myself "If she can do this, why can't I?!"

My biggest piece of advise to a new blogger is to leave comments! No one will know you're out there unless you make yourself known! And all bloggers love comments- they would be thrilled to see your message!

Sorry about my wordy rambling comment- I just get so excited to see a new blog! Take care!

  3. Hi!
Oh boy, it's been over 5 years since I started my first blog ;)
I started to blog mainly because of my knitting. But after a while I started to write about life i general too :)
Good luck on your blogging! I'll be checking back to ;)

  4. I felt very overwhelmed at the prospect of having my personal thoughts out there on the internet for everyone to see. I mean, I'm okay with my sometimes random and weird inner dialogue, but to get that out on my blog was sometimes terrifying!

Then I quickly realized that the blog became a place where I could share those thoughts and instantly know that there were so many other people out there who felt the same way.

I love all the friends and contacts I have made since starting out over a year ago. I'm looking forward to making even more!

  5. Welcome to the world of blogging! I started blogging a year ago to offer free knitting patterns to others. I didn't read blogs very often before I started and didn't really know what I was doing, but one year later I am still in love with blogging and have made the most wonderful creative, supportive friends.
